    • Luther and Fannie’s marriage record does not refer to her as “Mrs.” but the 1910 census lists them both as on second marriages. This is confirmed on Fannie’s death certificate that lists her father as Tom Hicks. On 7 march 1933, she applied for a Confederate Pension where she states she is the widow of William Cottrell Brown who died 30 June 1891, Banks County, Georgia. They were married, 22 December 1878, Banks County. She had been a resident of Texas since 5 November 1903, and was born 19 August 1860.[1]
