I have been blessed over the years to acquire several collections from various family members. These are in addition to the items I have collected for more than 40 years. The Birdie White (1903–1968) Papers include items found in a box with my mother’s name [Marjorie Earwood] written on the outside when Birdie died in 1968. They were passed to Lori Cook-Folger in July 2012. Dates covered are 1921–1951.
Family photos and artifacts that Birdie White Earwood (1903–1968) collected during her life. Many of the Sorrell and older Earwood items were likely inherited by Birdie and Culmon when his mother, Mincy Sorrell Earwood died in 1944. After Birdie’s death in 1968, these items were inherited by her daughter, Gladys Earwood Thomason. After Gladys’s death in 2009, her sister Marjorie Earwood Baxter inherited. At Marjorie’s death in 2024, her daughter Lori Cook-Folger inherited them.

These cameras belonged to my husband’s grandfather, Earle Roger Miller (1909–1979)
Gladys Earwood Thomason Collection
This collection contains numerous items collected during Gladys Earwood’s lifetime. Gladys kept in touch with everyone on both sides of her and Clarence’s family. She kept originals or photocopies of invitations, announcements, obituaries, funeral programs, newspaper articles, etc. She would make notes regularly and many of them were in her papers after her death. Dates covered are c. 1866–2009. Lori inherited these items after her death in 2009.
This collection contains a few documents that JC inherited at his parents death in 1968. His widow passed them to me in 2018.
Jerri Sullivan Cook Collection
Jerri Sullivan was the wife of Thomas John Cook. He gave several boxes of her genealogy research to Lori on 22 February 2019.
Family Bible with copyright of 1915. This Bible belonged to my grandfather, John Thomas Cook. When he died in 1962, it was passed to my father, H John Cook, by his mother Liza Jane Pettis. She gave it to him because at the time he was the only one of the children still attending church. It was passed to Lori about 1980.
Lillie Mae Earwood Photogrpahs
This collection contains photographs collected by Lillie Mae Earwood (1894–1980) during her lifetime. Her son passed them to me in 1999. Lillie Mae was my grandfather Culmon Earwood’s aunt. They were just a few years apart in age and were very close, even getting married in a double wedding ceremony in 1921.

This collection contains items that Marjorie Earwood (1936–2024) collected during her lifetime.
Ray and Gary Earwood Papers
These items were sent to me after Ray Earwood’s death and contain a few items pertaining to Ray (1952–2013) and his son Gary (1961–1996)
This collection include items relating to the Miller and Hatfield families. Dates covered are c. 1911–1951. They were passed from Sandra Miller (1939–2002).
